Paul and Susan Light, married for forty years, have lived in Ashland since 2002. They have three grown daughters, Amy Mills, Becky Light, and Stacy Mygatt, that grew up on their registered angus farm in Thayer, MO. Paul received his BSE from ASU, Jonesboro, AR; his Master in Economics and Education from MU, Columbia; and his Doctorate in Practical Arts and Vocational Education and Administration also from MU. Paul retired after teaching 32 years. He is currently employed with DESE as State Director of Skills USA. The Light's four grandchildren, Montgomery, Monroe, Margot, and Alexis keep them busy with their extracurricular activities and they LOVE every minute of it. In case they haven't told you, their grandchildren are AWESOME! Fishing and gardening are two of Paul's favorite hobbies. Max, the couple's Welch Terrier, is a bundle of energy and keeps everyone smiling. Last, but not least, friends and neighbors encourgaged Paul to attend church as a youngster. Through their diligence, he was saved! Susan was also saved at a young age, and church is what brought the two together at Birch Tree, MO. and that is where the couple married!
