AWANA
Awana is a nondenominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Awana Clubs International supplies programs, materials and training for more than 12,000 churches in over 110 countries. Their message to churches is simple: We’re here to serve you with a ministry that is all about fun with a purpose – to win and grow kids for Christ!
Here at Ashland Baptist Church, our Awana ministry works with other ministries to give children a well-balanced emphasis on knowing Jesus and how we can live for Him and serve Him.
Each AWANA ministry is broken into three general areas: Game Time, Handbook Time and Lesson Time. Children are encouraged to memorize scripture, and they are taught about Jesus and how to live a Christian life.
Children are rewarded for their work in memorizing scripture with badges and awards, as well as with Awana Bucks they can use in the Awana Store to buy all kinds off cool prizes!
Fun Theme Nights add to the spice in our club, where kids get to dress up in crazy ways. Each theme Night has a message that teaches the truths of scripture and missions.

How do you help church kids and non church kids build a relationship with Christ? TeamKID is here to disciple all children and help them learn why we need God in our lives. One Way TeamKID Character Challenge shows us Christ's love is by sharing a Bible story each week that relates to a new character trait. As the cildren learn Chrsitian Charter Traits they will build a stronger walk with the Lord.
